Close enough to heaven...
You have to read my story about my photo called Sunrise in Trinity Basin, then read this one.
Once I had that shot, I turned around and got this one, as well as. It was such a neat perspective of the Grenadier Range, not as recognizable as most photos of that string of peaks.
I look forward to exploring all the amazing nooks and crannies in heaven. If God’s creation on earth is this magnificent, I would imagine (or at least try to imagine) that His New Creation is going to be even more indescribable.
One of my goals was to see the view of Trinity Basin from atop the ridge between the basin and the Grenadier Range. I hiked cross-country up the basin to Trinity Lake, then set my alarm for 3:00 AM. It was really cold, rainy, and EARLY. But I was so close, so I sucked it up and went for it.
Almost didn’t make it by sunrise, but I was able to get there as God lit up the sky. My reward, perhaps, for working so hard to get there. It was spectacular, and I was in heaven. Or maybe almost close enough to touch it. 🙂
