One in a million...

I had one chance at this. I was in the Columbia River Gorge, had just finished getting some photos of a waterfall, looked at a map and thought I could just make it by sunset. I didn’t realize that the timing of the tides was incredibly important to catch Thor’s Well and the sunset at the right moment. But God say, “here you go.”

So the only night in most likely many, many years that I’d be able to see Thor’s Well just happened to be when the tide and sunset were timed to perfection. Just another one-in-a-million moment gifted by my amazing Creator.

And for sure one of the most magical places I’ve ever been in my life.

Oh, and there was more to the story. As you know rogue waves are quite real. Had my favorite (read: most hilarious) experience with a rogue wave waiting for the sunset here. :)
