Spectacular destination...

When I first was looking at backpacking in the Ritter Range, I was drawn to photos of Ediza Lake. But that led me to photos of Iceberg Lake, which reminded me more of Glacier National Park than the Sierra Nevada. So I quickly added Iceberg Lake to my itinerary.

I’m so glad I did, because it was a spectacular destination! The morning after I took this photo, I was supposed to pack up and head down to Ediza. I ended up sitting on a peaceful hillside, staring at this lake for hours, enjoying the view until well into the afternoon. :)
