Thousand Island Lake

Years ago, my wife and I got married while we were both unemployed (er, in between jobs). So, naturally, we took a five week honeymoon all over the place. One leg of the adventure was backpacking in the Ritter Range.

However, we got married in May, so it was early—too early—and we faced mostly snow-covered everything. The only real highlight was a really cool view at Thousand Island Lake, where we found a bit of dirt to actually set up the tent. I told myself I’d love to see this place again someday.

A couple decades and change later, I finally made it back. A view for the ages, eh?
