Aspen Reflection at North Lake

One of the Lord's many "detours" in life...

It started with a quick backpacking trip to the Eastern Sierras with my daughter Ryan. An unfortunate change of plans, however, had us scrambling for a Plan B—a plan completely different from what we had envisioned.

Which led us to North Lake just when the colors were at their peak. We were not expecting anything like this at all! It was magnificently beautiful (this image doesn’t do it justice, I must admit), and we lingered in groves of aspen, marveling at God’s creativity.

And so yet again, one of the Lord’s many “detours” in life revealed yet another wonderful surprise in His amazing creation.
