At the edge of the world...

In the midst of the countless lakes in the Sierra Nevada, Moose Lake is a bit unique. It’s a huge lake that sits on a large bench at the edge of a deep chasm (Buck Canyon). I’ve always loved high mountain lakes that have that “precipice” look about them. It’s almost as if you’d fall right off if you took a step or two.
