Falls on Cascade Creek

For many years, this was my favorite waterfall photo in my collection. It’s not the tallest, the largest, or the most famous—it doesn’t even have a name. It’s an unknown waterfall on a small creek tucked away in the vast mountain ranges of Colorado. 

Over the years, other photos I’ve taken of waterfalls have grabbed my attention for a season, but for some reason my heart always comes back to this one. Funny how life works, eh? Sometimes we need to just take a step away, a step back, and reassess what’s truly unique and precious.
