This picture doesn't do it justice...

I realize we could say “this picture doesn’t do it justice” for just about every landscape photo ever taken, but I’m going to use the phrase on this rare occasion.

I saw the sky lighting up from where I was working at the time (at a camp at Hume Lake), and I thought I might be able to get to a certain spot in time. Drove like a banshee and got there just in time to set up for this amazing sky.

To put it mildly, it was quite possibly the best sunset sky I’ve ever seen. It was absolutely insane how the sky caught fire—I mean, it looked like it was actually on fire. I was blown away, and only wish that I was a better photographer to capture it better.
