East Temple Peak in Black Joe Basin

My "Oh, well" shot...

So this was another image I was hoping to capture at sunrise, but the night before I went past this thinking there would be an even better shot of East Temple Peak from the lake at the peak’s base.

I was wrong.

I did get a couple sunrise shots of the peak at its base (Dawn at East Temple Peak and East Temple Peak Reflection), but I missed out on what I think would have been a much better view, which is this on at the nameless lake just upstream from Black Joe Lake. On my way back by it heading over toward Deep Lake, the sun was already way too high for an optimal shot, but I set up my camera, capturing this image as I thought, “Oh, well.”

But ya know what? I still think it’s beautiful. ????
